SAMMNA are always working to provide pathways for junior boys netball development. Currently boys can only compete in some netball competitions with girls up until the age of 12 years old. There are then very limited opportunities for them to continue playing until they reach the age to qualify for our men's competition. We are actively working with Netball SA to  provide opportunities for boys to continue playing netball between the age of 12 and 18.  We have 3 current programs for junior boys to play netball in South Australia:

Weekly junior boys netball competition just for boys aged 12-16

Round 1 Starts Monday October 29 - 6pm, Priceline Stadium.

5 minor rounds plus 2 finals rounds

$5 weekly game fee plus $40 per player team registration fee

Southern Dragons Boys Netball School Holiday Clinic

The Southern Dragons School Holiday Clinic will be back on the 10th October 2018 and is for boys aged 5-11 & 12-16 years! This clinic will cover all aspects of the game; including attacking, defending, goal shooting, ball handling and footwork. This session will be run by our Southern Dragons specialist men's netball coaches to make sure the boys are provided an inclusive clinic tailored just for them. All of this for only $35.00 per player. SAMMNA Junior Boys Academy

The South Australian Men's and Mixed Netball Association will host a Junior Academy for Boys aged from 11-17 years of age for the first time in 2018. The purpose of the academy is to continually engage boys in the age range where conventional pathways currently do not exist. The academy will be coached by Current Southern Dragons Coaches and Open Age Athletes from SAMMNA and special guest coaches. The sessions will be held on the last Sunday of the month, with a once off $10 payment to attend as many sessions as you are able. For more information click here.
