It has been over 1000 days since the best male and mixed netball athletes in Australia hit the court at the annual Australian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association (AMMNA) Championships. In 2019 the South Australian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association (SAMMNA) was selected to host the Championships for the first time since 1995. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing coronavirus the AMMNA Championships have been cancelled for the last 2 years (2020 and 2021).
The Southern Dragons have a strong history of producing some of the best men’s and mixed netball players in Australia. In 2022 the Southern Dragons have 5 representative teams which will compete at the AMMNA Championships. Be sure to follow the Southern Dragons on Facebook and Instagram for coach and team announcements plus updates throughout the championships on how the teams are tracking.
The AMMNA Championships will be played at Netball SA Stadium over easter, 17-23 April 2022. Information about ticketing and livestreaming will be announced in the coming weeks via the South Australian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association and Southern Dragons social media platforms and website.

The Southern Dragon’s Open Men’s team have been working incredibly hard in preparation for to 2022 Championships. The Open Men’s team have been working closely with the Adelaide Thunderbirds through training and match play over the last 3 years. Most recently, the men took part in an exhibition match against the Adelaide Thunderbirds at the T-Birds fan day. This was a great opportunity to display the mens game to the South Australian Netball community.
